I graduated from the renowned CNELM accredited by Middlesex University with a first class honours degree in Personalised Nutritional Therapy. I am registered with the professional body BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) and with the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) and I am an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Medicine and a founding member of the ESLM (European Society of Lifestyle Medicine). I am a clinical supervisor consultant at CNELM assisting final year students in developing their clinical skills.
My interest in nutrition has been life-long and was fuelled by my mother’s interest and knowledge in nutrients and how they can both support and nurture the body. Prior to completing my nutrition degree I worked as a chef and in the management of restaurants, so combining the knowledge gained in this field with the science of nutritional therapy makes designing recipes and food plans a real pleasure.
I generalise in all health complaints and am particularly interested in the connection between the gut and the brain. Epigenetics – gene expression through lifestyle and environmental factors – is also a particular interest. I am English and also speak Spanish and French and am able to offer nutrition counselling in all three languages, both face-to-face and via Skype. I am fully insured to practise Nutritional Therapy.
